This concert, the second in a series of three given by Devon Baroque at Dartington, provides a great opportunity to hear the exciting and invigorating sound of a baroque orchestra playing 17th and 18th century dance music on period instruments with historically informed style. From Bach’s Orchestral Suite to the unique Les Caractères de la Danse by Jean-Féry Rebel (Lully’s student) to music for a Royal wedding by Johan Helmich Roman (“the Swedish Handel”)and more, this programme has much to offer and will definitely have you tapping your feet!
